The Division of Physical Sciences is the unit within the College of
Liberal Arts and Sciences at Alfred University that houses the Geology
and Physics major programs as well as the Astronomy program.
We are located in the

Our mission includes the following:

Teaching Introductory Science courses to non-science and science students
alike, in order to produce a scientifically literate citizenry

Teaching Geology and Physics Courses to students majoring in other sciences
and engineering

Preparation of students majoring in Geology and Physics or minoring in
Astronomy, Geology, and Physics, within a liberal arts environment

Preparation of students for graduate school in these and other sciences
